Let's help The Sato Project save dogs

May 10, 2024

The Sato Project

The Sato Project is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of the abused, abandoned, and stray dogs of Puerto

Rico. Despite being only roughly the size of the state of Connecticut, Puerto Rico currently harbors 600,000 satos, or street dogs. The Sato Project seeks to rescue and spay/neuter/vaccinate as many of these strays as possible, either by placing them into loving homes on the mainland United States or providing them with the crucial medical services needed to disrupt the overpopulation cycle and the transmission of disease. The Sato Project has partnered with SoFar on Freedom Flights off the island; once they land, they are greeted at the airport by their new loving adopters.

Sofar

Sofar is a private jet company established in 2019 and based at Westchester County Airport. Thanks to our fleet of aircraft, we now offer a variety of services and destinations. Sofar offers flexibility and comfort for every journey. Whether you're traveling alone, in a small group or with a larger team, our meticulous fleet selection ensures we have the perfect aircraft to meet your needs.

Partnership

Sofar brings its expertise in private air transport, enabling the safe transfer of rescued dogs to New York shelters. We have enabled several dogs to travel comfortably aboard our Pilatus Pc-12 aircraft, whose rear door optimizes loading and ensures their safety. On the latest mission, thanks to our sense of optimization, we were able to transport 42 dogs in our aircraft.

Beyond transportation, we are honored to actively contribute to the cause of the Sato Project. Together, we aspire to make a significant difference in animal rescue and change the lives of many dogs. We are very proud to be part of this collaboration and remain committed to this meaningful endeavor. Thank you to our drivers and the entire Sato Project team for placing your trust in us!
